1.V.K.Saraswat, Defence Scientist and the man behind three successive successful launches of AGNI-III missiles will be presnted Dr.Y.Nayudamma Memorial Award-2009 at Tenali(Guntur district,Andhra Pradesh)on March 6, 2010. Saraswat is the scientific adviser to the Union Defence Minister and is also the Director General of DRDO.

2.Kanglei Yawol Kunna Lup is an out-lawed militant group in Manipur. Two of its members were shot dead in an encounter in Thoubal district of Manipur state on February 20, 2010.

3.Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary in Kerala is the 39th tiger reserve of India.
